CrescentCare Health Campus

New Orleans, Louisiana (Orleans Parish)

Consolidation of four leased medical facilities into a single 60,000 SF Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) campus to expand healthcare, prevention, and supportive services for low-income individuals.

The Project

CrescentCare provides high quality and culturally humble care to the entire New Orleans community, with a particular focus on those who come from traditionally medically underserved communities: the service industry, the LGBTQ community, the uninsured and the underinsured, immigrants, and communities of color.

After consolidating four leased medical facilities into a new single 60,000 SF FQHC, CrescentCare was able to expand its core services to provide Adult Primary Medical Care, Pediatrics, Dental, and Behavioral Health. True to its roots in the fight against HIV/AIDS, patients are also able to access a suite of specialty services including PrEP/PEP for HIV, Hepatitis C Services, LGBTQ Health & Wellness, Transgender Health Services, Women’s Health, and Medical Nutrition Therapy.

Community Impact

  • 18,562 unique patients treated across nearly 65,000 visits.

  • 197 jobs created with 17 retained.

  • 250 construction jobs created.

  • Critical medical and behavioral health safety net service provider meeting the needs of this low income and incredibly vulnerable population.
